Marc Elton

Marc Elton ~ Violin

Marc graduated with distinction from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. His flexible approach to music-making enables him to improvise fluently and perform in many different musical styles. Throughout his career Marc’s work has been wholly diverse, including classical performances on the violin and viola, appearances with pop and rock bands and community theatre. He has toured widely throughout the UK and Europe and appeared on television and radio. Now living in Cardiff, Marc is a regular leader of the Welsh Baroque Orchestra, and performs locally with cafe jazz and bluegrass ensembles.

Annika Gray ~ Violin

Annika graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in 2009 where she subsequently completed a Master of Music degree in 2011. Annika has a special interest in the world of historical performance as well as a passion for chamber music and currently performs with a variety of ensembles including the Welsh Baroque Orchestra. She recently played for the BBC Radio 4 adaptation of Samuel Pepys’s diary.

Gareth Davies

Gareth Davies ~ Viola

Gareth graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama postgraduate Advanced Diploma performance course in 1997. Since then he has pursued a wide-ranging and varied career as a freelance violinist and violist, both with orchestras and in chamber groups. Orchestras Gareth has played with include The English National Orchestra, The National Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra da Camera and the The East of England Orchestra.

Michael Dooley ~ Cello

Michael graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in 1996 and consequently completed a Postgraduate Diploma course in 1998. Since making Cardiff his home, Michael has been committed to teaching and sharing the joy of music-making with youngsters in schools, colleges and the community. Michael was for several years the principal cellist of The City of Cardiff Symphony Orchestra. He now focuses on chamber music and regularly performs with members of The BBC National Orchestra of Wales and The Welsh National Opera.
