Marc Elton: Violin
1
Marc graduated with distinction at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. He is a musical maverick whose improvising abilities enable him to perform in many different musical styles.
For years his work has been wholly diverse, ranging from pop and rock bands to community theatre, variety and classical on the violin and viola. In such capacities he has toured widely and performed on TV and radio.
Now living in Cardiff Marc regularly leads the Welsh Baroque Orchestra and performs jazz with Cardiff's own Canton Café Orchestra.
Annika Gray: Violin 2
Annika received her inital musical education in Switzerland and Germany before going onto study at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama where she recently graduated with first class honours. Annika has a special interest in the world of historical performance and is continuing her studies in Wales with Rachel Podger and Simon Jones for a Master of Music degree. She has a particular enthusiasm for chamber music and currently plays in a variety of ensembles.
Gareth Davies: Viola
Gareth graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama postgraduate Advanced Diploma performance course in 1997.
Since then he has pursued a wide ranging and varied career as a freelance violinist and violist both orchestral and in chamber groups.
Orchestras Gareth has played with include English National Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra da Camera and the East of England Orchestra.
Michael Dooley: Cello
Michael Dooley graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 1996 and then pursued a postgraduate Diploma course that he completed in 1998.
Since making Cardiff his home Michael is committed to teaching and sharing the joy of music making with youngsters in schools, colleges and the community.
Mike leads the cello section in the City of Cardiff Symphony Orchestra and enjoys playing chamber music and performs regularly with members of the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and the Welsh National Opera.
